The Rock-afire Explosion (RAE) is an animatronic band that played in ShowBiz Pizza Place restaurants across the United States from 1980 to 1993. The pioneering show featured life-sized characters capable of advanced movement and facial expression. Created and manufactured by inventor Aaron Fechter through his company Creative Engineering, Inc. (CEI) in Orlando, Florida. In addition to overseeing the production of the animatronics, Fechter also provided the voices for several characters.
The RAE at Volo Museum vill be only the second fully-operational public show in the entire country! This amazing animatronic show is a core memory of nostalgia for former kids of Generation X. Today, there is still a huge cult following and a new generation of superfans that vill finally get to hear the catchy musical medleys and hilarious comedy bits live and in person at Volo Museum!
Team Gregula is hex-cited to be granted official media access in order to cover this momentous occasion in animatronic history! I’ve been a major fan of the RAE since the beginning in 1980. It has been over 30 years since I have seen them perform in public. So, I can’t vait for the band to play again!
