RECAP: National Restaurant Association Show 2022

Sharing is s-caring!

The National Restaurant Association Show has finally come back after three looooong years, and Team Gregula (aka Da Count and myself) was hex-cited to be there for our fifth time! It was so good to be able to once again attend the most comprehensive annual trade show servicing the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industry on the planet.

This cavalcade of deliciousness happened May 21-24, 2022 at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center. This venue is super convenient especially for those who choose to use public transportation as the #3 King Dr and #21 Cermak buses drop off directly across from the entrance. There are also parking garages on the premises available for $25 a day (cheaper than Navy Pier!) but get there early for the prime spots as it fills up fast.

Since The National Restaurant Association Show is obviously about the restaurant industry (for starters) what did we do? We ate! Lots of delicious tastes and drinks were in abundance and Da Count and I sampled plenty! From sizzling steaks to savory Mediterranean to delicious sweets, there was something to please everyone’s palate.

Team Gregula also had a chance to see many demonstrations about the hospitality industry, including non food areas such as cleaning tips from Ecolab and how to set a proper table for dining. Of course there were tons of cooking demos to educate and entice.

After a hard day of munching and sipping we got to enjoy some tasty libations and salty pretzels served by a nice lady wearing her Bavarian best.

The National Restaurant Association Show 2022 was a rousing success and we even got to bring home some goodies on the last day. Cheers and fears and hope to have more beers when next we come! That is…if we’re invited, because you have to invite a vampire of course! *wink*
