October is in full swing now and Team Gregula has been super busy with fun Halloween activities. One of our favorite Howl-iday traditions is going to Bengtson’s Pumpkin Fest down in Homer Glen, IL. We usually try to make it earlier in the season (less crowds!) but unfortunately I had ended up in the hospital for almost a week earlier this month and we had to delay things a bit. But no worries, we did make it to the farm and there was still plenty to do!

Pumpkins, pumpkins as far as the eye can see! The sea of bright orange was a welcoming sight after a whole year away. As Da Count and I wandered about the farm, we noticed that Bengtson’s seemed to be much larger than before.

Not only were there kiddie rides, but also ones that whole family could join in on like Tractor Town, Hootenanny Railroad and more. You could say Bengtson’s is the Six Flags of pumpkin farms!

Other fun things to do at Bengtson’s Pumpkin Fest are going into The Haunted Barn to get scared silly and the Fun Barn for more kid friendly entertainment.

Don’t forget the delicious food! Bengtson’s has all kinds of yummy options from BBQ to tacos to cider doughnuts. Da Count and I decided to lunch on chicken tenders, mac n’ cheese and pulled pork instead of biting necks!

The best part of going to Bengtson’s Pumpkin Fest is tradition. It always feels good to relive old times and make new memories. Seeing the old familiar spooky decorations and animated figures always make us feel happy inside.

Last but not least, we made sure to check out the Halloween shop above the Haunted Barn. Loads of goodies for all your spooky needs!

Team Gregula had an amazing time at Bengtson’s Pumpkin Fest 2022 and can’t wait til next year to visit again!
